Near-Future Expansion

Bidding should come in after the fixed-price store is live and moving.

The auction layer is important, especially for rare parts, specialty lots, unusual equipment, and hard-to-price inventory, but it stays in phase two. The opening-day goal is to publish fixed-price inventory fast, prove demand, and only then layer auctions on top of a working store.

Best Fit

Rare and one-off items

Use auctions for inventory where the market can discover the value better than a rushed fixed price can.

Not Day One

Do not block opening on bidding

Auction mechanics, bidder rules, reserve logic, and payment follow-up add complexity. They belong after the store is already selling.

Target Outcome

eBay-like excitement, on your own store

The long-term target is a stronger catalog experience with GCT's own inventory, rules, and buyer trust layer instead of dependency on external marketplaces.
